Announcing The Eleventh Annual MARCUS Conference
at Sweet Briar College

Faculty, other students, and guests may continue to register until 12:00 noon on Friday October 2. Conference attendees who do not register by noon on October 2 are welcome to attend the conference and register at the door; however, they will not be able to attend the conference lunch.

Pre-registration for the conference is now closed.

Registration fees should be mailed in advance of the conference and postmarked by September 30, 2009. Fees also may be paid at the door on the day of the conference - cash and checks only.

* A note on creative endeavors:

Projects involving creative work such as writing prose or poetry will be considered for acceptance if a significant component of the project involves supporting research. Abstracts for both posters and oral presentations should document the research process, provide context for the creative work, and indicate the type of creative format that will be presented.  The conference presentation should do likewise, including a significant component on the research process and context of the work in addition to all or a sampling of the creative work itself.
