Student Agreement Summer 2009

As an undergraduate participant in the HSRP, you agree to do the following:

 
  • work 40 hours per week on your research project during the eight week term
 
  • attend orientation meeting and weekly seminar meetings (the complete meeting schedule will be posted on the Honors webpage)
 
  • give a presentation on your research project before the end of the eight week term
 
  • meet with Honors Program staff and your faculty sponsor to review your progress and make adjustments to the project, if necessary
 
  • no later than July 17, 2009, submit an electronic copy of the final product of your research project to your faculty sponsor and the Honors Program, for publication in a special issue of the Honors Journal
 
  • make a public presentation of your research project at the MARCUS Conference on Saturday October 10, 2009, at Sweet Briar College.
  • participate in at least one other research showcase during the fall 2009 or spring 2010 semester (most likely an alumni or admissions event).

 

You will receive a stipend, paid in four biweekly installments.
