As the sponsor of an Honors Summer Research Fellow you are required to
do the following during the eight week program:
- have 10 contact hours per week with your student
- attend orientation meeting and weekly seminar meetings (a complete
meeting schedule will be posted on the Honors webpage)
- give a presentation on your own research, or research methodology
in your discipline
- submit a mid-term assessment of your student and her project
- during the fall semester following the summer research term, attend
the student's public presentation of her research project at the 2009
MARCUS Conference on Saturday October 10, 2009
- along with your student, participate in at least one other research
showcase during academic year 09/10 (most likely an alumni or admissions event).
Faculty sponsors will receive an honorarium, which will be included
in the summer paychecks.
