Said Horwege, "I have been teaching German at Sweet Briar for 32 years and am fortunate to have worked with many very fine students and also with many wonderful colleagues. This is one of the highest awards in my field and I am obviously very happy to have been chosen to receive it. I will accept it with pride, but at the same time acknowledge my colleagues and friends who also deserve to receive such an award."
The presentation will take place in Philadelphia at the AATG Awards Luncheon on November 22. Winners receive a cash award and a certificate towards materials to further enhance the teaching of German.
